McTimoney-Corley Spinal Therapy originated with John McTimoney in the early nineteen seventies. Hugh Corley (one of John McTimoney's students) later refined the technique for humans and animals, and in the mid-nineteen eighties, animal treatment was further developed by Shelagh James-Hudson.
McTimoney-Corley Spinal Therapy was originally taught at the Oxford College of Chiropractic (OCC) as a Post-Graduate Diploma Course. Unfortunately the OCC no longer exists, instead the animal course is run by the Oxford College of Equine Physical Therapy(OCEPT)at Witney Stud, part of the Abingdon and Witney College, and human courses are run at the Witney College of Spinal Therapists.
