The term Chiropractor is governed by law and incorporates the right to diagnose.  In the UK only a registered veterinary surgeon may diagnose conditions in animals and as such, those who practise chiropractic type techniques on animals are termed animal manipulators or animal spinal therapists.  I hope that clears up the confusion on the 'name thing'!
